Movie Ratings

Sunshine- (2007) Twentith Century Fox.

R for violent content and language.

Quote: Pinbacker: At the end of time, a moment will come when just one man remains. Then the moment will pass. Man will be gone. There will be nothing to show that we were ever here... but stardust.

Adventure / Sci-Fi / Thriller So in the year 2057 the sun is dieing so as a last result earth sends a crew to restart start the sun or create a star within the sun. This movie is very underated it had to've been marketed badly, the only way I heard about this movie before DVD is because im a movie freak.  The acting and filming was really well done , it got a little to confusing at the end. If you liked Armageddon, Space Odessey and Lost in space you'll more than likely enjoy this movie, it has elements of all three of those.

Overall Rating (B)

Talk To Me- (2007) Focus Films

R for pervasive language and some sexual content

Quote: Petey Greene: I'll tell it to the hot, I'll tell it to the cold. I'll tell it to the young, I'll tell it to the old. I don't want no laughin', I don't want no cryin', and most of all, no signifyin'. This is Petey Greene's Washington.

Biography / Drama / History So this is supposedly based upon the life of Petey Greene and Dewey Hughes in the 60's who was an ex-con who became a radio jockey. The movie was an up and down roller coaster between likeing and hating this movie. The acting of course was amazing what else could you expect when you have  Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda) an Chiwetel Ejiofor (Children of Men) as the leading actors.  Not something I would recomend for everyone so let someone else rent it and watch it with them.

Overall Rating (B-)

Rescue Dawn- (2006) MGM

PG-13 for sequences of intense war violence and torture.

Quote: Dieter: Empty what is full. Fill what is empty. Scratch what itches.

Action / Adventure / Drama / War How does Christian Bale play so many diferent roles he has to be one of the  greatest men actors of our age. He scores again in another great role, The story takes place right before Vietnam War, Dieter is sent on a Top Secret bombing mission were he's shot down captured and sent to a Vietmanese Prision Camp, the story is about the human spirits need to survive. Based on true events you only can watch in awe of what this man did to survive and escape. If you enjoy realistic war movies this is your movie.

Overall Rating (B+)

Movie Rating.

So this is my little blog on recent movies I have seen and either recomend or don't I rate actually with the letter system A , B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D, F ok so if you ever see a movie get an A be impressed alsso a F is you will commit sucide afterwards.

Idiocracy  (2006) This movie stars Luke Wilson and Dax Shepard and thats the highlight of the cast, This movie has a interesting story it takes this super average guy freezes him wake him in the future to a world that de-evolved back to primitive beings, where he is now the smartest man in the world. It has a pitiful love story and and at somepoints the sex jokes just go to far. The acting was either great or its justs super easy to be an idiot. Overall I would recomend waiting till it came on TV.  Overall: C

Army Of Darkness (1992) I saw this movie when I was really young so I found it at wal-mart for $7 I had to buy it, so Bruce Cambell plays Ash in the third installment of the Evil Dead series. So this movie is not nearly as gross as the first two movies but while the second movie sucked because it was caught between being a horror movie and comedy, this one succeded a little more in spooffing itself. While the acting sucked, it had its funny parts. I would recomend renting or buying even because its cheap enought to make the sacrafice. Overall C+

Paris Je T'aime (2006) So this had to be one of the greatest films I have seen recently, first of all the name is great then you through in a list of great actors, with a lot of mini stories some are a little weird but over all amazing. The shots in this were great some breathe taking I haven't been this impressed since Garden State. Ok downfalls if you don't enjoy foreign or independent films maybe not for you, also some of the stories are a little strange. My biggest fault with the movie is by the end the it seemed to be a little to long. So I recomend at least a rent and to any movie fans a buy. Overall: B+

War.

EXT.street - night

The camera follows a young blond man as he walks down the street.

A well dressed young man looks cautiously around, he carries a large square package under his arms. He speeds up and turns down a dark alley way.

INT. a black Cadillac - Night

Two men watch the young man from across the street, The man in the driver seat looks over at the passenger. The Passenger gives his approving nod and they exit the car.

EXT. alley way - Night

The young man runs a few steps, turns around and when he sees that he is alone. He slowly begins the climb up the old and rusty fire escape.

INT. Single roomed APARTMENT- NIGHT

A beautiful Brown haired girl walks around a very small but warm kitchen. The aroma of food is thick in the air, she has been cooking and fixing all the essentials for what seemed to be a lovely meal all afternoon. She was just starting to  set the table when.

Knock! Knock!

She walks the familiar path to the door and opens it slowly. A look of pure joy sweeps across her face and as she opens the door we see the hansom young man from the alley his face a mixture of happiness and worry.

He swiftly walks in making sure to shut the door afterwards, he takes the time to lock the door and turns with a look of great relief on his face. He walks towards the young woman and embraces her in a very passionate hug. She leans in to kiss him, but he quickly lifts his finger to stop her.

A mischievous grin crosses his face, he walks towards a record player. At this she give a little laugh and walks to the kitchen, she lights the gas stove and makes sure to keep it on low she then puts on a pot of tea.

She turns back the young man to find him in the middle of a low bow.

A very rag time music begins to play.

He reaches his hand to her and she takes it, they then begin to dance. Not just fast but slow and of course every thing in between.

A montage takes place of the couple in two or three type of dances.

They are on a slow song they are holding themselves very close, he strokes back her dark mahogany colored hair . He  slowly grabs the side of her face and  starts to lean in for a  kiss .

A loud knock resounded in the room.

It came again, the door actually shook with the weight that came from the beating.

The young couples face are covered with fear, the young man goes to push against the door when... boom! the door was kicked free and two men stormed into the room guns raised yelling in German! The first man points to the girl, the young man steps in between the soldiers and the young girl and takes a swing at the solder.

Bang!

The boy takes a few steps back, a look pain and disbelief crosses his face. The clean white shirt he had been wearing just moments before was now crimson red the same color as the bands on the two men arms. He falls to his knees clutching his stomach.

The young woman walks up to the man and slaps him hard in the face. The solder steps back as a few droplets of blood start to slip down his bearded face.

Bang!

The girl falls back in slow motion to the floor, her hair flows in front of her face. The solders aim had been true he had shot her in the star that had covered the left side of her chest for so long.A pool of blood was already forming around her back just seconds later, the boy tries to stand, but falls back, the solders leave the apartment without saying a word.

The record was still playing the slow sad ballad, the young man moves close and reaches out his hand to the young womans hand and grasps it tight. Looking towards her face he sees her face. Hardly over a whisper the young man says I love you and closes his eyes.

Fade to Black.

Venting

Hey whenever you see the title  venting you don't half to read because you should know all I'm going to be doing is complaining. Well today at work I went in knowing what I had to do tape up the plane, and tommrow i'd wash it wiith acid and allonine which usually sucks but the last times i had to do it, it has been super cold, one time it was raining and almost freezing, then it was just windy sucks because you'll have acid blowing in your face, but oh no it doesn't stop there in this stupid process you half to spray the acid on part of the plane and wash it off and spray a lil more and wash it off and hopeing the entire time that it isnt going to hit you in the eyes which it always does, then you half to spray the bottom of the plane while the concrete is wet and praying that a big blob of acid doesnt hit you in the face which it does. Then you have to start the same process again but with the allonine which is to neutralize the acid which is even more dangerous because it stinks and stains your skin and I'm pretty sure can cause cancer. Well this isnt so bad after the 30th time especially when you have a water hose guy to go behind you an wash it off which is usually my cousin but the last two times my cousin wasnt working and no one else would help well this time it pissed me off because I was out there working away and i could hear and see five workers sitting around a plane laughing and joking around and no one would come and help which is ehhh! So a job that took me three hours couldve been one hour. and all for 24 dollars.

Courage

The fireman stands in front of the flaming building with his hat in hand trying to over come the fear of what he has to do, he turns to see his friends running in without a second thought, but yet he is rooted to the spot, why would he take a job this dangerous knowing that he has a child at home and a loving wife waiting in a warm bed. He has a mortgage, debts how could he leave his family with these types of burdens. The feeling of waking up with the sun on his face. The warm smile of his daughter that always took his breathes away. The smell of fresh coffee in the morning after you’ve just woken up or the cool felling after a spring rain. Moments he would never get to see, his daughters wedding, his first grandbaby, growing old with his wife all these thoughts run through his mind but yet he knows what he has to do he has to put one foot in front of the other and take the chance to save the lives of those people, those people who he has never met, never thought of but those people who also deserve the chance to smell coffee in the morning or to see a smile for those reasons he will bear the fire.
